GummySearch alternative: a migration guide
GummySearch closed new sales on November 30, 2025 and is winding down through 2026, leaving roughly 140,000 users looking for a replacement. This guide is for you: how to think about the migration, what LeadSleuth covers today, and one honest caveat about Reddit.
Step 1: Separate the two jobs GummySearch did
Most GummySearch workflows were really two different jobs bundled together:
- Market research: browsing subreddit audiences, reading categorized pain points, validating ideas.
- Lead discovery: finding specific people asking for a product like yours, so you could reply.
No single tool replaces both perfectly. Decide which job actually drove your subscription — for most paying users it was the second one: turning posts into conversations and customers.
Step 2: The honest Reddit question
Being upfront: LeadSleuth does not cover Reddit today. Reddit blocks data-center access without approved API credentials, and we won't scrape around that limitation. Reddit support is planned once API access is approved — the same API-cost pressure that contributed to GummySearch shutting down is exactly why we refuse to build on a gray-area workaround that can disappear overnight.
If your workflow is strictly Reddit-only, an alert service that still covers Reddit (such as F5Bot) can bridge the gap for raw mentions — note its free tier is now capped at 5 keywords (paid plans from $9.99/mo); see our F5Bot comparison for what that does and doesn't get you.
Step 3: What you gain by migrating to LeadSleuth
If the job was lead discovery, LeadSleuth replaces the outcome and upgrades the workflow:
- AI intent scoring (0–100): GummySearch showed you categorized posts; you still judged each one manually. LeadSleuth scores every match against your ICP automatically, so you only read leads that are worth your time — high intent is ≥ 60, with a 40–59 watch tier.
- Cited research dossiers: for each high-intent lead you get who they are, why they fit, evidence quoted from their public posts, and a draft reply — which you review and send yourself. Nothing is auto-sent.
- Multi-source by design: daily scans of Hacker News and Bluesky today, with Reddit planned pending API approval — so your pipeline isn't hostage to a single platform's API policy again.
- Public data only: every claim links back to a public post. No scraped emails, no private databases.
Migration wizard: paste your GummySearch list, get an ICP
Paste your subreddits or keywords below — straight from your GummySearch audiences (e.g. r/SaaS, r/indiehackers, cold email tool). We clean them up (strip r/, dedupe, keep the top 5) and carry them into signup, where one click creates your ICP and starts your first scan. Nothing is uploaded until you sign up.
3–5 keywords work best — we keep the first 5.
Migration checklist
- Export or note your GummySearch audiences and the keywords/pain points that produced real leads — or just use the wizard above.
- Create a free LeadSleuth account (free while in beta, no credit card).
- Describe your product once — the AI drafts your ICP (industries, roles, pain keywords, competitors) for you to confirm. In a hurry? Enter 3–5 keywords and start scanning immediately.
- Your first scan runs right away; daily scans continue automatically, and high-intent leads arrive with a full dossier.
- Keep a Reddit-specific alert tool in parallel if Reddit mentions are critical to you today.

How LeadSleuth compares with other GummySearch alternatives

- 免费注册 LeadSleuth(Beta 期间免费,无需信用卡)。
- 描述一次你的产品——AI 会起草 ICP(行业、角色、痛点关键词、竞品)供你确认。
